On a napkin, in a plane, before a meeting, many moons ago. Sounds crazy, but it’s not. AdminisTEP was born when a few guys started asking one question, “Why can’t the industry benefit from HIPAA requirements instead of being shackled by them?” HIPAA can be a competitive advantage instead of an IT anchor. We just started listening to what our clients were asking for and giving easy solutions to resolve their pain. After some crazy doodling, a few heated discussions, some anxious meetings, and a few million dollars – voila! A powerful, web-based portal was born to change the world – oops! – we mean the healthcare marketplace. The world is next.

We would love to tell you, but we don’t know you that well yet.

We try to keep a low profile and focus on performance, so we don’t mass advertise like some of the big boys in the market. We don’t buy or merge with other companies to get current technology, and we don’t conform to the entrenched clearinghouse models of the past. Rest assured that our clients come in all shapes and sizes, from start-up to Fortune 500, from payer to provider, from primary care to third party and all points in-between. We can be seen by a few as AdminisTEP, and then seen by everyone else under a private label. Our goal is to keep a focus on the data.

Also, we don’t mess around with other industries. Healthcare is our only focus. It’s a big industry with a lot of complications, and that’s challenging enough for us. We don’t need to confuse things by trying to solve all the problems in the finance, telecommunications, travel, and internet-based retail sales industries, too. Their solutions probably don’t work in healthcare, and vice-versa.
